Several years ago, I used the Scotia iTRADE platform to trade commodities and currency pairs. At that time, I already felt that the spreads were extremely wide, as if they were manipulating the prices artificially. Moreover, the platform itself seemed problematic with instances of freezing frequently. The speed at which orders were executed was painfully slow as well. To further compound the dissatisfaction, their customer service personnel appeared to have limited knowledge of the issues

Sure enough, unregulated brokers are unreliable, their website suddenly closes, the account manager and customer service suddenly lose contact, and everything disappears without a trace... It's good that I didn't waste too much time, energy and money here.
